We are almost half-way through 2020 and finally seeing the light at the end of the tunnel for COVID-19 restrictions as we adjust to the new normal and what that will look like for businesses and their workforces.

The team at FortiTech are definitely looking forward to a few much needed catch-up coffee's as we head back on re-opened client sites over the next few weeks.

In fact, some of our clients may have seen a new face out and about recently, that face belongs to Craig, our newest team member.   Craig is our resident Microsoft 365 expert and has been undertaking security audits for our client's Microsoft 365 tenancy's. 

We have also been busy delivering projects for clients, the first being in the manufacturing sector, with an upgrade to their very manual scheduling system, feedback on the improvement has been phenomenal compared to the previous whiteboard based system. 

We also delivered a 170 seat 3CX VoIP phone system for a legal firm with sites in Brisbane, Sydney and Melbourne. The timing of the installation was a fortunate one, with COVID-19 restrictions coming into effect soon after, this allowed the firm to take full advantage of the remote capabilities of the 3CX system.  Face-to-face training was also provided to each of the offices to ensure everyone got the most out of the many useful features of 3CX.

David continued his 2020 webinar series in conjunction with the College of Law's Centre for Legal Innovation, this time hosting one on Protecting data for remote users.  With research firm Gartner predicting that post-pandemic 41% of employee’s will be working remotely in some capacity it is critical that organisations tighten up their data defences.
