The Challenge
This move came with an extra layer of complexity: we were given just over a week’s notice to prepare the relocation. That meant every detail—from equipment transport to internet provisioning—needed to be mapped out and executed flawlessly.
We also knew the new office’s NBN service wouldn’t be provisioned in time. Without a contingency plan, the client risked starting their first week in a brand-new office with no internet connection.
Their requirements were clear:
- Move and reinstall their networking gear, desktop computers, and peripherals
- Order and coordinate a new NBN connection at the CBD location
- Provide uninterrupted internet access during NBN provisioning delays
- Mount and configure Wi-Fi access points for reliable wireless coverage
- Set up a productivity-focused triple monitor workstation for the firm’s director
- Complete setup over the weekend so the firm could be back in action Monday morning
The Solution

With just over a week to prepare, we quickly developed a relocation plan that accounted for the tight schedule and NBN delay. This meant not only handling the logistics of moving equipment but also securing a temporary 5G internet solution that would carry the firm until their NBN service was live.
Bridging the Internet Gap with 5G
We sourced and set up a business-grade 5G router to serve as a stopgap. This gave the client high-speed internet from day one in their new space, ensuring no downtime while waiting on NBN activation.
Weekend Setup & Reconfiguration
Over the weekend, our team transported and reinstalled all hardware in the new CBD office. We reconnected switches and routers, mounted Wi-Fi access points in key locations, and tested coverage to ensure every corner of the office had strong and reliable wireless access.
Each workstation was reassembled and tested, with printers and shared devices brought back online. The director’s office received a triple monitor setup with a dedicated stand, creating a streamlined workspace designed for maximum productivity.

Finalising NBN & Cut-Over
Once the NBN was provisioned later that week, we coordinated a seamless cut-over from the temporary 5G service to the wired connection —ensuring the firm experienced no interruption during the transition.
Outcome
Despite the short notice, the law firm walked into a new CBD office that was fully functioning from day one.
The temporary 5G solution prevented disruption during the NBN wait, while mounted Wi-Fi access points guaranteed consistent wireless coverage.
Careful planning and proactive execution meant the relocation was stress-free for the client, with all the technical challenges handled behind the scenes.
And best of all we had an extremely happy client able to focus on what they do best, running their firm.
