Thank you for choosing FortiTech to undertake your email migration to Microsoft 365!
If you are reading this it means that we are at the tail end of the migration and we are about to cutover from your existing provider to
Microsoft 365, which means some preparation work is needed by you and your team to start using your new email platform and file storage.
The below guides cover:
- Setting up your new M365 profile in Outlook
- updating licensing and user information - especially useful if you have an existing personal Microsoft account you are using for your license
- adding your Microsoft 365 email accounts to mobile devices
- Setting up OneDrive
- Syncing SharePoint Libraries
As a note, our recommendation is to use Outlook Classic where possible. We find it to be the more reliable option, particularly when using shared mailboxes, whereas Outlook New can still be a bit buggy and more difficult to use in those scenarios.
The guides also explain the difference between OneDrive personal (each user’s private storage) and SharePoint libraries (shared team folders). Both can sync to your computer and be accessed via File Explorer once set up.
